With Less Than 100 Days To Go, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez & More Urge Fans to Register to Vote on Nov. 3

Ariana Grande was among a large group of celebs who tweeted over the weekend reminding Americans to make sure they’re registered to vote for the Nov. 3 election, which is less than 100 days away.

“100 days out. tell a friend,” Grande tweeted, linking to Headcount.org, which offers easy tools to help you stand up and be counted, from election reminders to tips on how to apply for an absentee ballot.

Selena Gomez also took to her Instagram Story to share info about how to register.

The efforts took place in coordination with Register a Friend Day, with LL Cool J also weighing in with a reminder, as well as former Pres. Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama. You can register to vote at vote.org. Others urging people to make sure they’re ready to vote include Cher, Lin-Manuel Miranda and the Jonas Brothers, with Nick, Joe and Kevin calling it “one of the most important elections of our lifetime.”

Pres. Trump has continued to spread false theories about voting by mail — despite having done so himself — leading election experts to fret that a nation gripped by a pandemic could face a chaotic election that may put even more Americans’ health at risk with a push for in-person voting in the midst of both a health and financial crisis.
