The hugely popular anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” (known by the shorter title “Demon Slayer”) is taking the world by storm. After the popularity of the manga, the TV adaptation became an instant hit in Japan and has met equal success in the U.S. The fantasy action anime series follows Tanjiro Kamado, a young man who comes home from work to find that his whole family has been murdered by a demon, except for his sister Nezuko. While Nezuko survived the attack, she was turned into a demon herself — but maintains enough human qualities that she suppresses her instincts to kill and instead helps her brother fight demons.

When Tanjiro is recruited to become a demon slayer, he brings Nezuko along in hopes that he can find a cure to turn her human once again. It’s an action-packed, often creepy, but ultimately touching story about family and friendship, and fans were elated to hear that Season 2 is officially set to release later this year. Here’s everything we know so far about the next season of “Demon Slayer.”

When will Demon Slayer Season 2 be released?
While there has been an official announcement regarding the next season of “Demon Slayer,” no specific release date has been revealed (via Netflix Life). All that we know so far is that it’s coming out sometime in 2021, though some are convinced it may be dropping as early as this summer. If not this summer, we expect it to release by this fall to avoid other popular shows that are returning in the winter.

Who will be in Demon Slayer Season 2?
The entire cast from “Demon Slayer” Season 1 and “Mugen Train” are returning to reprise their roles in Season 2, as reported by Crunchyroll. The Japanese voice actors include Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro), Akari Kitô (Nezuko), Hiro Shimono (Zenitsu Agatsuma), and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Inosuke Hashibira) as most of the main cast. Their English counterparts are Zach Aguilar, Abby Trott, Aleks Le, and Bryce Papenbrook, respectively. We’ll also see the newest addition to the group, Tengen Uzui (Katsuyuki Konishi / Ray Chase), who is a major player in Season 2, as well as the main antagonist Muzan Kibutsuji (Toshihiko Seki / Greg Chun).
